Timelines and Shipping
How long will it take to receive my memory bear?
- Memory Bears: It takes about 2-4 weeks to complete memory bears after we receive your clothes.
- Holiday Season Note: Production times may be longer from October to December due to the high volume of holiday orders.
Generally, we’ll complete and ship your bears within 3 to 4 weeks after receiving your materials. For large orders or those near Christmas, lead times may be extended. Keep this in mind when placing your order.
How long will it take to receive my keepsakes?
Pillows, Coffee Mugs, Hats, Shirts, Vanity Plates, and Ornaments.
Usually take 2 to 4 days in production then shipping will take 3 to 5 business days.
How long will it take to receive my other keepsakes?
Pins and window decals will take 1 to 3 days in production and then will ship USPS Ground which takes 3 to 5 days.
Do I have to pay to ship my clothes to Harmony’s Keepsakes?
Since the weight of each customer’s clothes varies so much, we can’t cover the cost of shipping your clothes to our studio. The cost to send the finished product back to you was added when you place your order.
Do you offer local pickup?
We offer optional fabric pickup and order delivery within our delivery area in Fayetteville, NC area.
Memory Bear Fabric FAQ
What types of clothes can I use for my keepsake?
When it comes to creating your treasured Memory Bears, our approach is as adaptable as it gets! Send us the fabrics that narrate your story. If you’re pondering over choices, we suggest cotton weaves, denim, flannel, fleece, sweatshirts, terry cloth, and t-shirts for their ideal texture and durability. Do remember, stretchy knits may expand a bit with stuffing. But don’t worry—if your wardrobe choices are sparse, we promise to craft something beautiful with whatever you provide.
How many clothes should I send?
As a guideline: for a patchwork bear: Send 1-2 adult size (or 6-8 child; 8-12 baby) clothes. We’ll send specific instructions to you based on the item your order since the amount varies based on size and style of clothing.
We can make a memory animal from just one article of clothing. If it is not enough fabric, we can use a coordinating cotton fabric in limited amounts, so the final design highlights the one piece.
What if I send too little clothing?
We will contact you to request further items or we can use a contrasting fabric at an additional cost.
Can you use onesies or two-piece outfits instead of footed sleepers to make my keepsake?
Onesies (also called bodysuits, creepers, diaper shirts) and little pants, even multiple ones, are too small to use for the main parts of our keepsake animals, but we can use them as the accent fabric (ears, paws, snout) in most cases. If you have a special onesie or two piece outfit, feel free to send them along with something larger, such as a footed sleeper or blanket.
What if my fabric has stains, holes or other damage?
Please send freshly laundered, stain- and damage-free fabric for your keepsake whenever possible. We will try to avoid using stained parts of your fabric, though with baby clothes we generally cannot avoid using any part of the clothing. Stains can become more darker and more pronounced when we prepare your fabric for sewing and will be noticeable on the completed keepsake. We cannot use fabric with holes, though some small holes in a large piece of clothing or a blanket can generally be avoided.
Will you match up stripes/plaids/patterns?
The smaller the piece of clothing, the less likely it is that we will be able to match up stripes, but we will always do our best to make the pattern pieces complement each other. Our goal is always to make the most attractive keepsake each and every time..

Can you make clothes for my keepsake? Or repurpose baby clothes to fit my teddy bear?
No, we do not make clothes.
Can I get a discount if I order more than one item?
We apply the same care and materials to each keepsake item we hand craft and and do not offer discounts.
